Job Description

Responsible for managing day-to-day store and warehouse activities, including material receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, material issue, documentation, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, specifications, and supporting documents.
- Conduct basic inspection of materials and coordinate with Purchase/Quality teams for discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note)and other stores documentation.
- Properly identify, label, and store materials to ensure easy retrieval and prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software and physical registers.
- Issue materials against authorized Material Requisitions / Indents.
- Monitor stock levels, minimum/maximum levels, and reorder requirements.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, safety, and 5S standards in the store.
- Track slow-moving, non-moving, damaged, and obsolete materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, Finance, and other departments.
- Support monthly/annual stock audits and provide required reports.
- Ensure proper handling and preservation of materials.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory and stores reports.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and internal controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 Years of experience in stores, warehouse, inventory, or materials management.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse practices.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle/Tally or similar.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to identify stock discrepancies and resolve them systematically.
- Knowledge of 5S, FIFO/FEFO, and basic warehouse safety practices.
